BUFFALO, N. wholesale jerseys .Y. -- Matt DAgostini and the last-place Buffalo Sabres caught Zdeno Chara and the Atlantic Division-leading Boston Bruins by surprise Wednesday night. After squandering a 3-1 lead, the Sabres rallied for two goals in the span of 75 seconds to steal away a 5-4 overtime victory. DAgostini sealed it by outracing a flat-footed Chara to a loose puck and scoring on a partial breakaway 22 seconds into the extra period. Forcing the turnover at the Bruins blue line, DAgostini managed to shift the puck from his forehand to his backhand and slip a shot in under Chad Johnsons pad. "I could tell (Chara) didnt know Id be coming up from behind him. I think he just thought he had time to go back and retrieve the puck," DAgostini said. "I heard their bench screaming. I tried a little sneak attack on him in there, so it was good that I got by him." Matt Moulson forced overtime by scoring with 53 seconds left in regulation. Brian Flynn had a goal and assist, while Tyler Myers and Zemgus Girgensons also scored for Buffalo. It was a big win for Sabres backup goalie Jhonas Enroth, who stopped 29 shots and snapped an 0-10-4 skid to improve to 2-12-5 this season. "That felt very nice to get a win finally again," said Enroth, who also won for the first time in 12 home starts, dating to a 3-1 victory over Tampa Bay on April 14 of last season. "Ive had these kind of games go against me, so it was nice to have one of these for me." Chara, Milan Lucic, Brad Marchand and Chris Kelly scored for the Bruins (37-16-5) in their first game after the NHLs two-week Olympic break. The Sabres (17-34-8) at least had the benefit of having opened the break with a 3-2 win over Carolina on Tuesday night. The Bruins had been off since a 7-2 win against Ottawa on Feb. 8, and featured five players -- including Chara -- still dealing with the effects of jetlag after competing at the Sochi Games. "I thought offensively, I didnt mind our game," Bruins coach Claude Julien said. "You score four goals, you should win those kind of games. But certainly, we were definitely rusty defensively." That was particularly the case on DAgostinis goal. "I think (Chara) was surprised," Julien said. "But definitely we should have that puck." Boston is still 8-1-3 in its past 12, and hasnt lost in regulation in seven straight road games (4-0-3). The game featured several swings of momentum, with Buffalo building a 3-1 lead when Flynn scored 9:10 into the second period. The Bruins stormed back. Chara scored 2:25 later by stuffing in a rebound for a power-play goal during a scramble in front. Marchand then tied it at 3 with 2:14 left in the frame, and was set up by teammate Reilly Smith, who stripped the puck from Buffalo forward-turned-defenceman John Scott in the right corner. Boston then appeared to take control when Lucic made it 4-3 by scoring a power-play goal with 10:17 left. The Sabres responded with Moulsons goal. With Enroth pulled for an extra attacker, Moulson got the puck in the right corner of the Bruins end. In attempting to feed a pass to Drew Stafford in front, the puck hit off the skate of Bruins defenceman Johnny Boychuk. Moulson got to the loose puck and stuffed it in. "Its tough to not get that feeling of, Its the Boston Bruins, theyre back in the game now," DAgostini said. "But we kept playing. We defended. We got big saves from Jhonas, which was huge, and we ended up gutting one out." Enroth got the start a day after Ryan Miller made 36 saves and also added two assists against Carolina. Enroth, who returned to Buffalo on Monday, was backup to Sweden starter Henrik Lundqvist at Sochi. Buffalo won consecutive games for only the third time this season, and first since Dec. 17-19. NOTES: Sabres C Tyler Ennis did not play due to undisclosed soreness. ... By scoring the winner against Carolina with 44 seconds left, Christian Ehrhoff became the Sabres first defenceman to score the go-ahead goal in the final minute of the third period. ... The Bruins went with Johnson, who stopped 21 shots. Johnson started in place of Tuukka Rask, who remained in Boston to refresh after returning from Sochi, where he helped Finland beat the United States for the bronze medal Saturday. nfl jerseys china . -- Chris Wondolowski scored his 10th goal of the season and the San Jose Earthquakes made it stand for a 1-0 victory against the Colorado Rapids on Wednesday. jerseys from china . The All-Star point guard, sidelined for the past six months with a knee injury, was set to return to the Oklahoma City Thunder lineup for Sunday nights home game against the Phoenix Suns, weeks earlier than expected.PORTLAND, Ore. -- Now the work begins for the Portland Trail Blazers. The Blazers wrapped up their season of turmoil 28-38, their worst record since 2005-06. Portland heads into the summer with no permanent general manager or head coach, but plenty of cap space available for free agency and several picks in Junes NBA draft. Its the ultimate clean slate after a trying season that started badly with the abrupt retirement of All-Star Brandon Roy and eventually cost respected coach Nate McMillan his job. "Im optimistic," said guard Wesley Matthews. "Its been a crazy season." Thats an understatement. The lockout-shortened season started with the disastrous opening of training camp, better known to Blazers fans as "Black Friday." Roy surprisingly announced that he was retiring because of ongoing trouble with both of his knees. Hours later, news broke that oft-injured former No. 1 draft pick Greg Oden had suffered a setback with his surgically repaired left knee. To top it off, doctors examining forward LaMarcus Aldridge determined that he needed a procedure for Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome, a heart condition. The Blazers went into rescue mode, signing sixth man Jamal Crawford, veteran forward/centre Kurt Thomas and forward Craig Smith to shore up the roster. Around that same time, billionaire team owner Paul Allen granted a rare roundtable with local reporters, emphatically declaring that he had no plans to sell the team despite increasing rumours. The Microsoft co-founder said he was looking toward the upcoming season. "People will talk of handicapping the usual suspects at the top of the conference, but then there are a bunch of us right below that. Are we just barely a playoff team, are we going to have potential to get out of the first round and do more damage?" Allen said. "Thats what makes sports exciting. I will have to see how it all plays out." In the end, it didnt go well. Although the Blazers got off to a fast start, their deficiencies soon became clear. One was point guard Raymond Felton, acquired in a draft-day trade last year, who never seemed to mesh with the team. Felton even called out McMillan in one interview with Comcast SportsNet Northwest as one of the reasons he was struggling. The Blazers tried and failed to turn Crawford into a point guard. It was clear the Blazers had all but thrown in the towel after a 2-7 stretch to start March, capped by a 121-79 loss in New York to the Knicks. It would be McMillans last game as coach. The one real bright spot in the season was Aldridge, who was again consistently good until he was shut down for the season because of a hip injury in mid-April. Selected for the All-Star team for the first time this season, he averaged 21.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists. His success was somewhat bittersweet to Blazers fans, especially after it was announcedd in February that Oden would undergo yet another microfracture knee surgery, his third overall. cheap jerseys from china. Many fans -- and even McMillan -- had hoped to someday see the trio of Aldridge, Roy and Oden lead the Blazers to another NBA championship. "My memory that really sticks out is the first time I had those guys over to my house for dinner. Im sitting there at the table and looking at these three and talking to them about the future and their opportunity and thinking that we have a great opportunity here to build something special," McMillan said after Oden was declared done for the season. McMillan always understood that he would have to provide results to keep his job. But even with the teams slump there was a general feeling that he would be retained at least through the end of the season. So it was a shock when the Blazers unexpectedly dismissed him at the NBA trade deadline. Utah Jazz general manager Kevin OConnor recently touched on the firing when discussing how he has run his team. "The key thing is you try and be patient in an impatient world you live in, and we live in an impatient world. The best example is Nate McMillan, all the success he had up there, dragging those teams through all the injuries and things and he had 2 1/2 bad weeks, and they fire him," OConnor said. "That to me, I dont understand it." The trade deadline proved to be the Blazers second defining day of the season. In addition to firing McMillan, Portland dealt starters Marcus Camby and Gerald Wallace, and the team finally waived Oden, finishing his five-season, 82-game career with the Blazers. But those moves helped set up an interesting summer. If Crawford decides to opt out of his contract in the off-season, it appears that the Blazers will have some $25 million in cap space to manoeuvr into free agency. It appears Portlands focus will be on re-signing point guard Nicolas Batum before going hard at an established point guard to complement Aldridge. Portland will also have as many as four picks in the draft, and could have as many as two lottery picks, depending on how the pingpong balls fall. But the Blazers first priority is to get a general manager. Rich Cho was fired last May after less than a year on the job, but the lockout and the short season postponed the search for a replacement. Recently, the team has started talking to prospects. President Larry Miller said that Portland hopes to have a general manager in place before the draft. The new GM would ideally have say on the new coach. Interim general manager Chad Buchanan, the teams director of college scouting, will be considered, Miller said. "Its been a challenging year, I would say," Buchanan said. "Theres highs and lows to any NBA season. You cant ride the waves of the ups and downs. Youve got to be steady and looking long term." The long term starts this summer. cheap jerseys cheap jerseys from china ' ' '
