He made the decision to leave Calgary, where Alpine Canada is located, and return to Montreal to work with the B2ten athlete group that helped Olympic moguls champion Jenn Heil rebuild her body. Guay has a herniated disc in his back. Through a series of tests, and by analysing his movements, it was discovered the problem stemmed from a knee injury Guay suffered in 2003. "Just that constant skiing and compensating I was doing on that one side was tightening up my hips, putting my pelvis out of whack, giving me Scoliosis of the spine," Guay said. Scoliosis is a condition where a persons spine becomes curved. Instead of being straight, the spine might look like an S or even a C. Guay began a program of working on clean movements.
