(Sports Network) - Flyers defenceman Chris Pronger will wear a visor in his return from a serious eye injury tonight when Philadelphia visits the Tampa Bay Lightning at the St. Parys Haralson Black Jersey . Pete Times Forum. Pronger suffered the injury against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Oct. 24 when the stick of Mikhail Grabovski struck Pronger on a follow through from a shot. Pronger has missed the last six games. You can watch the game live on TSN2 and TSN Mobile TV at 7:30pm et/4:30pm pt and join the TSN.ca Game Night Blog to chat with other hockey fans during the game. The leagues current leaders in goals scored, the Flyers try to extend their four-game point streak this evening and slow down Steven Stamkos and the Lightning. A former 51-goal scorer in 2009-10, Stamkos finished second in the NHL last year with 45 goals, but had just one tally through his first five games. However, the 21-year-old center has nine goals in his last nine games, netting a hat trick in last Fridays win over the Blackhawks before notching a goal and an assist in Sundays 4-3 come-from-behind shootout victory over the Panthers. Stamkos is tied with Buffalos Thomas Vanek for second in the league in goals scored with 10, one behind the leader Phil Kessel of Toronto, and has tallied eight times in 12 career games versus the Flyers. The Lightning have scored 43 goals on the season, tied for sixth-best in the league, while the Flyers are topping all clubs with 56 goals on the season. That is a bit of a surprise given that Philadelphia traded away two of its top goal scorers this past offseason in captain Mike Richards and forward Jeff Carter. "I dont think anybody expected that," said Flyers forward Danny Briere of his team leading the league in goals at this point. "Obviously, we lost a lot of firepower, but a lot of guys are stepping up. Nearly the whole roster stepped up in Philadelphias last game, a 9-2 victory over Columbus. Eight different players scored goals and 15 Flyers had at least one point. Rookie Sean Couturier was the lone multi-goal scorer, posting his first career two-goal game, and both James van Riemsdyk and former Blue Jacket Jakub Voracek tallied a goal and two assists. Claude Giroux tallied for the ninth time this year and Jaromir Jagr scored and had an assist to give him six goals and five assists over a seven-game point streak. Ilya Bryzgalov made 33 saves to give Philadelphia a 3-0-1 record in its past four games. "I think it was just nice to come out and play well," Flyers head coach Peter Laviolette said. "I think from the start we did the right things, pucks went in the net and I think more than anything we wanted to play the game the right way and because of that you get results youre looking for." Defenseman Erik Gustafsson recorded the first point of his NHL career with an assist and finished the game a plus-6. The Flyers offense may have another weapon back tonight in rookie Matt Read, who could return after missing the last three games with an upper-body injury. Stamkos, meanwhile, was part of a team effort on Sunday that saw the Lightning rally from three goals down to beat the Panthers in a shootout. Teddy Purcell had the game-tying goal in the third period to complete the rally and Dominic Moore scored the winner in the shootouts fourth round. Mathieu Garon started the game, but made only nine saves before his exit. Dwayne Roloson stopped all 28 shots he faced in relief to give the Lightning their sixth victory in eight games. "I dont know how many times Ive been throw in [in relief, but] I dont think weve ever come back to get a win," Roloson said. " Give our guys a lot of credit. We stuck with our game plan and battled back." Forward Ryan Malone joined Stamkos as a second-period scorer, but did not play in the third frame due to an upper-body injury. Victor Hedman missed the game entirely with an upper-body issue and both players are questionable for this game. Philadelphia snapped a three-game slide to Tampa Bay in the final meeting between the teams last year and has taken six of the past nine encounters. The Flyers have won four of their last five trips to the Forum. David Hawthorne Black Jersey . The owner of a record 17 Grand Slam titles did recently complain about a bad back, however. Many players are looking beyond then -- with optimism -- toward getting back to work. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and several owners completed two days of talks Wednesday with NFL Players Association chief DeMaurice Smith and a group of players in Maryland. A person with knowledge of the negotiations told The Associated Press that the two sides have been making progress at several such meetings in the last three weeks. The person, who spoke anonymously because details of the discussions arent supposed to be made public, also said a new collective bargaining agreement is not imminent. Nonetheless, several players expressed confidence that a deal will get done soon and training camps will open on time late in July. "I know that weve been talking pretty extensively over the last few weeks," said New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, one of 10 players whose names are on an antitrust lawsuit against the league. "It seems like things are moving in the right direction, which is very positive. Its what we always hoped for as players because obviously were getting to crunch time here." Close enough to it. Although no deadlines have been set for the opening of camps, the 32 teams soon must decide whether to delay them, particularly those clubs that stage a portion of camp out of town. Settling early in July almost certainly would provide for full training camps at previously planned locations, although the Minnesota Vikings have said they could delay until July 18 an announcement on whether they will train at their usual site in Mankato. "I think everyone kind of has that feeling, that this things starting to end," said Bengals tackle Andrew Whitworth, the teams player representative. "I feel like thats the attitude that everybody has, and you can see everybody preparing that way. "When you look at the timeline for both sides, it starts to get real serious around this time." The lockout is in its fourth month. During that time, there have been mediation sessions, court actions in Minnesota and Missouri, and clandestine meetings between Goodell and Smith, a handful of owners and players. Some of those talks have included lawyerrs on both sides, some havent. Archie Manning Black Jersey. Such sessions have been critical in past NFL negotiations, dating to the 1980s. Brees said to be wary of reports that specific portions of a framework for a new CBA are completed. "Little steps is good. ... I think the gap is being narrowed in a lot of different areas," he said. "Its hard to give any kind of prediction at this point, so any percentages that are thrown out there by unknown sources is something that, you cant necessarily believe everything you hear. But there is progress and thats a good thing." Movement toward an agreement is in both sides best interest after a federal appeals court judge warned the owners and players they might not like the upcoming decisions in legal actions sparked by the lockout. Indeed, the court could delay any rulings if a new CBA appears to be near. If a deal were struck, a free agency period would follow soon after, along with the signing of undrafted rookies. Teams would hold minicamps, which have been put off by the lockout that began March 12. The labour impasse also has cost the league and some teams advertising and sponsorship money, and some players have not collected workout bonuses. At least seven teams have instituted pay cuts or furloughs of employees who are not players. The economic pain may not be over. The dealmaking could all come crashing down if one side decides compromise is not in its interest. "Much can still go wrong -- every negotiating session is unique to itself," said Don Yee, who represents Tom Brady and is an adjunct law professor at USC. "Just because one day was good doesnt mean the next day will be, too." That the lockout has lasted this long is frustrating to at least one player. "In all honesty, being a professional now in an industry thats as big as the NFL is, its kind of embarrassing that were even in a lockout," said Bengals running back Cedric Benson, who will be a free agent once a new CBA is in place. "And having to go through these things and having to come to (the University of Cincinnati) campus and work out and not having a trainer. Its slightly embarrassing, but it is what it is and I have no control over those type of things. "But it is comforting to hear those guys coming up with a solution." ' ' '
