Aguero, who has 26 goals this season as City has soared to the top of the English Premier League with rampant displays of attacking football, is expected to sit out the first leg of the Champions League last-16 match against Barcelona as well as Premier League and FA Cup games against Chelsea. Aguero picked up the injury while sprinting for a ball during a 5-1 thrashing of Tottenham midweek. The Argentine player had already been sidelined for a month with a calf injury this season. Stanton made up for the play with an outstretched catch of Michael Morses fly near the wall in the eighth. Pagan also made a spectacular over-the-head catch on Dietrichs deep fly for the first out of the seventh and held on after running into the padded wall in left-centre.
