SYDNEY, N. Dez Bryant Shirts .S. -- Nicolas Roy scored a goal and added two assists to lead Quebec to a 4-1 victory over West at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge on Thursday. Brandon Gignac scored 89 seconds into the game to give Quebec (2-1-0-1) an early lead. Cameron Hebig tied it midway through the period before David Henley put Quebec ahead to stay. Samuel Blier added an insurance goal and Olivier Tremblay made 23 saves. Logan Flodell stopped 26 shots for West (0-3-1-0). Russia 5 Atlantic 3@ Aleksandr Zhebelev scored twice and Artur Tyanulin added a goal and an assist in Russias win over Atlantic. Artem Rozhkovskiy and Denis Gurianov also scored for Russia (2-1-1-0). William Bower, Cameron Lee and Alexandre Jacob had the Atlantic (1-3-0-0) goals. Russia had a 43-30 edge in shots. United States 6 Ontario 2@ Colin White scored twice as the United States dumped Ontario. Auston Matthews, Luke Kirwan, Matthew Tkachuk and Jack Roslovic each scored for the U.S. (4-0-0-0), which finished as the only team to stay perfect through the preliminary round. Brett McKenzie and Dylan Strome replied for Ontario (2-1-0-1). Luke Opilka stopped 22 shots for the Americans, while Ontarios Ben Blacker was far busier with 48 saves. Pacific 3 Sweden 1@ Pacific scored two quick goals in the third period to beat Sweden. Adam Musil and Glenn Gawdin each scored in the first 2:14 of the third, while Brad Morrison added another for Pacific (3-1-0-0). Filip Ahl opened the scoring for the Swedes (1-1-1-1). The backup goalie made 17 saves to record his second consecutive shutout, and the Rangers beat the Predators 2-0 on Saturday night. "I could get used to this," Talbot said. Ryan McDonagh and Derek Stepan scored for the Rangers, who have won the first two games of a five-game road trip. Mats Zuccarello assisted on both goals for New York, which has won six consecutive road games. Talbot got the start over resting No. 1 goalie Henrik Lundqvist for the second straight Saturday night and didnt let any pucks get past him. He has a shutout streak of 146 minutes, 28 seconds. Nashvilles season-best, three-game winning streak was snapped. McDonagh gave the Rangers a 1-0 lead at 13:13 of the second period. From the centre of the blue line, defenceman Dan Girardi sent a one-timer toward the Nashville net. In the slot, McDonagh tipped the puck past goalie Marek Mazanec for his fifth goal of the season. "G had a lot of time. I knew he was going to get a puck going to the net," McDonagh said. "Weve talked about getting deflections and dirty goals, and I just happened to be in the right spot there. It was a great shot." Girardi has an assist in consecutive games. "They played a little bit better and won a few more battles," Nashville coach Barry Trotz said. "Ive got to find a way to get those in and keep getting pucks to the front of the net," Weber said. "We had good traffic on a couple of them, but we werent able to sink them." Mazanec made 32 saves in the loss. Nashville lost right wing Patric Hornqvist in the first period to an upper-body injury. He played just four shifts in the first period, with his final one ending at 13:06. Hornqvist entered Saturday tied for the Nashville lead with six goals.
